A local BMW forum member picked up this 6 speed 850i a little while ago, this weekend he decided to give the paint some attention and my goodness did it turn out well.
God I love this car
Here’s the important part
Also what it looked like when he got it
It found itself in excellent hands with the new owner

Lower part of the front & rear bumpers are missing?

I need to give my paint some love too...
Fantastic looking car, would love to hear one with a full exhaust system.

Yeah you’re right. I’m not sure what should be there, but it looks like something is missing for sure

Noice!
I’d honestly rather have one of those with an automatic transmission, it just seems to fit the profile of a grand tourer more.

That's fair, although I mostly disagree. My manual 633 still felt pretty grand tour-y, mostly due to the gearing

That said, I'm pretty sure the 850 would use the ZF 5HP30, which is an excellent transmission that I enjoy in my friends 540i

Looks fantastic. I hate the steering wheels it came with from the factory, but thats easy to fix. These are rising in value now, especially the manual cars.

Yeah the steering wheels are really nota good thing. I don't know what he got this one for, but he said it was a good deal. I still wanna know who ordered a manual 850 that wasn't a CSi....

CSis were a pretty limited production run, there are definitely plenty of normal 840Ci and 850Ci with a manual out there. Not sure if it fits the Grand Tourer nature of the 8 Series better than a decent automatic, but its definitely not a bad choice.

Maybe in Europe, but not North America. This one is an original Canadian car too. Yeah, fair enough
